Krivoy Rog is a large
industrial city in the south-east of Ukraine. It is situated on the
picturesque banks of the rivers the Saksagan and the Ingulets. The city
was founded in 1775. The population of the city is about 700.000.
Being an industrial center of Ukraine, it has many plants, factories
and mines. Iron ore is mined here. Krivoy Rog Metallurgical Plant is
famous in the whole world by its production of steel and pig iron.
Our city is very green, having a lot of parks, squares, lawns and
other places of rest. |

There are many cafes,
cinemas and one drama theater in the city. You can have a good time
together with your girl, taking her to a beach of the rivers in
summer or to one of the beautiful cafes. You can also go to
our local museum or to the drama theater. You will see
Universities, scientific-and-research Institutes and other educational
establishments.
